G'Day lads and ladies, just a short note to remind you that the world is coming to an end this Friday, just in case it happens its been nice knowing you all so good luck.
What bugs me is its going to end on pension day so I wont be able to contribute the the coffers of the oil companies and supermarket shareholders, very sad, it will however save having to race around for that last minute Christmas shopping which is OK.
Anyway this is Australia signing of
You'll be gone before us

But then you'll have to go through the anxiety of waiting longer. :bounce:
We break up for Christmas that day - I hope that's not going to be literally :worried:
Sorry, but the world can't end then 'cos I have too much fun to be had on the layout over Christmas so little round objects to the Mayans :P. I'm waiting for Rails and everyone else to have January sales too (hint, hint)
Oh...... and if it is going to happen then, Liz Hurley's going to be walking oddly from Thursday onwards when the world goes PHUT (not so much a bang as a Wimpey) :-X
Lets hope my ICE2 arrives from Germany before Friday then (didn't mean to buy it, put in low bid that was accepted :oopssign:)
Does this 'foreign stuff' require running in, Pengy ??? (he asked, in ignorance)
If so you may have to get your skates on a bit
:veryangry: And I will never have evem got to see the Farish Pullman :'( :'(Dam the Swiss and that Haldron collider..... :dighole:
Nowt to do with them, mate ... it's NASA crashing the two Moon-mapping craft into that mountain ...
THE MOON'S FALLING ONTO US !!! :stop: :help: :dighole:
Wonder if DFS will be having an 'End of World' sale?? :D
Paul
That figures ! MRS have finally agreed to deliver my new layout boards on Friday. I reckon they haven't even made 'em yet and are banking on the world ending on Friday.
Wonder if I should ask for my deposit back on Thursday ???
Just don't go out and party or get drunk on Thursday you might just get booked for drink driving on Friday.

Or at the very worst you may have to face the end of the world with a hangover!
Still and all - the weather forecast for Friday isn't too bad :D
Not sure about Saturday though :worried:
Hope it happens nice and early here :uneasy: Ive got a blood test at 10 o`clock and wouldnt mind missing that :unimpressed:
Snap Jon - don't fancy my trip to the hospital on Friday, Angiogram and chest xrays.

I had one last week with what my Mum calls the lobotomist. I think she meant the phlebotomist but then again she may be right :confused1:
If the world is going to end, are the bookies taking bets?
Its a win win situation for them if you think about it! :smiley-laughing:

Anyone else find it apt that it's a Thursday ... ... ... :confused2:
Not one to burst the bubble here, but the Mayans or whatever they are called forgot about one small thing.
LEAP YEARS.
So,with all the stuff going about the world ending on the night of the winter solstice, someone calculated that with world being in existence for millions of years,it should have ended around 435 years ago!
So we might be out of the woods then.
I'm going to stay at home and convert my Farish class 40 whistler to dcc sound on friday and wait for the world to not end and go out with my mate who is back on UK soil for christmas, who works in Doha.

In all honesty I think the world ending on Friday 21st is a load of bunkum, someone must be making loads of money out of selling books and making documentaries on the subject, the doomsday lovers lap it up big time.
They seem to tie Nostradamus and ancient tribes together and come up with something created by their imagination, Nostradamus hey ??? I think any one of us could sit and write a few hundred prophesies down and in a few hundred years time many of them will have happened.
As they said on the radio earlier, the Mayans weren't so hot on predicting their own demise so why should they get this right??

Well, I'm going to predict that sea levels will rise and that premiership footballers will be overpaid. :o
Oh, apparently thats already happened... ::)
Guess I'll just stick to railway modelling! :smiley-laughing:
I booked Friday 21st Dec off months ago as a joke - One of my fellow drivers is well into this sort of thing and got on his soap box and spread the word.... for about a week ! So for a giggle I booked the day off, turns out this is a good thing as i broke my phone last weekend and now i can pick it up on friday. Then i can call my fellow driver and go......
"Still here !!!" :laugh2: :nerner:
