Title: Graham Farish DMU Northern Sprite 371-525
Post by: Skyline2uk on December 13, 2012, 09:25:56 PM
Hello all,

Does one of the knowledgeable chaps / ladies on this forum know if this DMU (shown in link below):

http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/1739_1_21774.html (http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/1739_1_21774.html)

Is a Poole Built or China Built example? I am interested as the chassis in my Poole NSE one is not the best, wondering if the one under this unit is any better? Not going to pay that price for a body swop, but I have a cunning plan....

Cheers

Hi
That was one of the early Chinese built ones.  It used the same sort of chassis as the Poole built ones.  They aren't brilliant in my experience and can suffer from split gears still.

Hope that helps
