Mrs K has just rumbled me. she's just found out I've put an order in for a dozen TEA tanks a couple of weeks ago.
Apparently we should discuss those sort of purchases :-[

So I've now promised to sell some stock to the equivalent of a dozen Revolution Trains TEAs (EWS ones so there's another twelve quîd to find!).

So offers on
.....

I think I have to start a new thread in the Nporium,  do I not?

Quiet dinner out, small trinket expressing your everlasting love... Problem solved??
:hmmm: :)
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Ask her how much it costs to have her hair done. That's always worked for me.

Course if you have a fancy hairdo as well then that might not work.

I have used that one in the past, my hair is very long and so I told her that it is money I am saving by not getting it cut - didn't work either though!!

Best wishes

Some interesting suggestions, Kirky. However, as we all really know, there is no arguing with our dear ladies. The easiest way is to kowtow and put a brave face on it. The best way is not to get found out.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I don't tend to have that problem but if my other half did query my purchases, I would quietly mention her collection of musical instruments which comes to several grand's worth by now...  :D  At present there is a djembe with woodworm in the railway room to stop it infecting the other djembes! Can't get rid of the little blighters (the woodworm, that is...)  >:(

Be strong, my friend.

No need to be jealous - I'm short, fat, bald, bespectacled and skint  :(

What about the woodwork on your railway, Chris? :worried:
I have no idea what a djembe is but if anything had woodworm it would be outside pronto!

Kirky - you've been busted. Accept it gracefully and eat humble pie for a while as you think of other ways to sneak stuff into the house :)

Malc

If it's a genuine African djembe, the woodworm may be an exotic, voracious variety. Never mind the layout woodwork, I'd be worried about the floorboards.

I have indeed, as the title says, been rumbled. Before we had the children it didn't matter so much, we both worked and only had ourselves to look after. But now Mrs K looks after the kids while I generate income.
Hence I have posted the first of a few items in the Nporium.
Cheers tho.
PS glad to see you back on the forum.
