i receive this from a supplier

Affected by a new coronavirus epidemic in China, cities were closed, factories were shut down, and employees were delayed from work indefinitely.

As an eBay seller in China, we can do nothing in the impact of this epidemic incident, and we are also hit hard .
It disrupts our lives and work plans ,we had to close the store and expect to return to work by the end of February.

So, your order can not be shipped out recently . (The package that already sent out recently also will be returned back by the logistics company or customs).

To protect you from losses, we can cancel the order and return the money back to you if you want .(Will completed the refund within 3 days after received your request)

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I hope you can understand and look forward to having the opportunity to cooperate with you again.

so the problems of virus persistence ( may last 9 days on some surfaces) & the disruption caused by delays to return to work after the New Year holiday will start to affect us increasingly

The Q

The company I work for has production facilities in China, that go into units that are then called made in the UK or made in the USA..

Those who travel out there have been banned going until further notice, at the moment we still have stocks of those PCBs etc... but not for much longer..

China is a much bigger part of the world economy than it was during SARs, and there is a rapidly growing list of companies both inside and outside China announcing supply problems.

Kader Holdings (Bachmann's parent) don't seem to have made any public comment about the impact of the epidemic but their shares have fallen 25% in the last four months after loss-making first half results.

I agree there will be short term delays to products we buy direct through outlets like ebay. When it comes to the model manufacturers, their product runs are so delayed (Gaugemaster 73's more than a year late for example), I don't think we will ever know what the impact was/is/will be.

What will have a greater effect will be the shortage of components for almost every consumer item you can think of. So, for example, if your washing machine is on its last legs, you may want to change it now.

Hi All,

Well of course anything travelling by air is seeing a delay already, but as for the heavy mainstream imports that have to travel by Sea we aren't going to really see anything till at least Mid March.
How long these large scale imports will be effected well time will tell.

Mechanical issues can be solved with a hammer and electrical problems can be solved with a screw driver. Beyond that it's verbal abuse which makes trains work!!
