have a look @ my  track  cleaning  wagon in  tutorials July  11 th 2011

you  can  build one  to  whatever size  you  want and  one  cleaning  cloth  will last  you  ages.

BTW.. it's  in this month's  Model Rail mag too!!

A link would have been nice.

I've just tried to find it without success and the search track cleaner throws so many threads up I got fed up and decided not to bother anymore.

Cannot find anywhere here the height of the Cmx Cleaner, OK the width is 25mm but cannot find the height, this is important for me as I am considering a purchase but do not want to have to alter tinnel mouths and clearances.

Anyone help please, thanks, George
Another house move despite "never again" has given me a second floor layout so Geominster Mainline & Heritage Line will be modified and enlarged with siding storage.

My Facebook Diary is Geominster if anyone wants to view it please ask, it is a private group requiring acceptance, thanks.

This then is my third version modified which has been improved from previous efforts and lessons learned.

Geominster was my first project which has now been dismantled. Having learnt so much from  previous Geominster projects this is the latest one.

Latest Youtube video is here.

Sitting on my code 55 track the maximum height from baseboard to the top of the filler cap which is the highest part of the wagon is 32mm....when running and you have loosened the filler cap slightly to allow the cleaning agent to flow it a touch shy of 33mm

Thanks Sparky, what is the height from the top of the rails to top of the cap please ? Hopefully less than the 27mm my Class 60 is else will be problems. Thanks, Geo.

Again with the filler cap slightly open I am reading 29mm from rail tops....

Thanks Sparky, think it will just fit, I can always adjust the helix height at each level if there are low spots.
