Sss-weeee-t! But I'm not bored yet, perhaps a few dozen more pics might do it. Nah, it's just not gonna happen!

Ian's done a better job of photos than I ever could!

Looks good but more importantly........what's the significance of the lemon as your avatar?
Just had to ask - sorry.

@port perran Sorry, completely missed this  ::) For my sins I'm a Stone Roses fan and the lemon comes from the cover of their debut album and they've used it elsewhere so it's sort of associated with them.

I've bored Facebook with this, so I'll do it here too! My Mercig reworked 37 arrived Today. Truly a thing of beauty!

Wow, that is seriously good.

It is superb! I've asked him to do me a Farish 90 too, waiting time is about 7 months!

Hey, the man has taste!

Just a shame I can't actually run it at the moment! It's sound fitted and everything, obviously!

Dare one ask how much? ( answer by PM if you think SWMBO is watching!)

Anyone bought one of the new Farish split headcode Class 40s yet?  Wondering what it is like?  Made well?  Runs well?  Etc.

I had an email from Rails last week about these and picked mine up on Monday.  The Class 40 is one of those locos that's so ugly it's almost cute...

I'm a relative newcomer to the trainset bug but it looks to be solidly built, runs nicely and seems quite happy pulling my 5 BR Mk1 coaches up a 1.7% gradient.  There's an occasional derailment if one particular coach is coupled directly to the loco but only when taking setrack points at speed.  Those 8 wheel bogies are probably a bit too long for setrack points!  Overall I'm very pleased with my ugly duckling!
