It would appear the council in Maltby, South Yorkshire have erected a bus stop/shelter costing £6000 on a road where there is no bus route

couldn't be a case of 'we've got this in the budget, and if we don't spend it next year we'll have less' could it ?

or a local job creation scheme for bus stop erectors ?

as we all know, council departments never talk to each other so a bus stop built by one dept would not need anyone to have even looked at a bus timetable, would it

but I heard that during the miners strikes, some plods had T-shirts printed with

'SPMM'

on them .... cause they were getting so much overtime

not exactly intended to endear them to the miners striking to save their jobs and communities
