If it's a siding, then really, using flexitrack isn't even remotely hard. Fix one end to the Streamline point, bend gently so it forms an appropriate curve, straighten out the rest of the piece of flexitrack, and likely snip off the bit of rail that will overhang at the end.

Even putting a gentle curve into flexitrack will mean the rails don't meet the point so as to make a good connection, so a tiny piece will have to be trimmed from the inside rail as well as the far end of the siding. I'd suggest Xuron cutters for the job.
You'll more than likely have to trim some of the sleeper ends where the tracks meet at the point as well. It will all look far better than set track, though, and is worth the extra small effort.

Agreed. Xuron cutters are essential, but do notice they work a particular way around because you want the flat cut on the rail you're keeping, and the tapered cut on the waste piece of rail. A needle file is handy too, because you often get little burrs of metal left, and these totally mess up your fishplates! Oh, and buy twice as many fishplates as you think you'll need. You'll deform quite a few of them before you're done.

As Newportnobby says, the results are worth the effort. Alternatively, have a look at Unitrack. It's very easy to use, has built-in ballast, and a wider range of curves and points than SeTrack, so you can produce more realistic track plans than with SeTrack. If you simply want to get some trains running reliably, it's the bee's knees.

Good luck!
