If it arrives by Saturday it may get a special outing (if i ask very nicely!)

tadpole

It went first class recorded, swiss, so you should get it tomorrow or Wednesday.

(Damn! I shoul've taken it to Glasgow this weekend, could've pictured it in all manner of places).
Two rails good. Three better.

The Forum Coach finally arrived at Overthorpe via Exeter West, hauled by a 47 on it's way to Hammingwell TMD for light repairs.

Unfortunately the coach had an unservicable coupling so was shunted off the main line into Overthorpe sidings to await recovery to the  Depot.

An 03 was promptly despatched from the depot for recovery of the problem vehicle

At the depot the fitters repaired the problem much faster than if this was a BR Depot!

The NGFers were once again on their way, coupled up to a pair of 25's on their way on a circle railtour!

On returning to Hammingwell the NGFers waited patiently for a spare 37 to run them back East towards Hasford Blacklock

Bye Bye NGF Tour 2012 and hello 2013 !!

. . .  towards Halsford Blackstock

Towards where???

I'd better notify the station staff at Hasford Blacklock to expect a drunken mob coachload of polite NGFers soon ;)

Good pics anyway

:NGaugeForum:And so the final leg of the Tour was from Hammingwell to Hasford Blacklock, not an easy journey as although the distance wasn't far (just around the corner! :D ) it involved travelling into the future and crossing some unusual terrain including rough ground . . .

. . . oversize vegetation . . .

. . . this rather unusual rubber viaduct . . .

. . . and some strange advertising hoardings . . .

. . . but it finally made it into the late 80s!!  ;)

Here's the diary of that final day:-

The expresses were at scale speed ;) If you mean the acceleration rate blame the driver, it appears that as well as a lead right foot on the road she has a lead right thumb as well  ;D
