 :hellosign:

I wonder if there's anyone who knows where I can obtain a replacement buffer head for a Farish Blue Riband Mk1 SO please.

It appears to have fallen out of the headstock if it was ever fitted at all.  I think I can see right through the hole to the other side off the buffer beam and the headstock appears undamaged.  I wonder if anybody else has any useful knowledge, please.

I'll contact brlines in due course but Bachmann don't have them as a spare part according to my previous enquiry.

Is it new?
If so take it back to the retailer and ask for a replacement as goods are damaged/faulty.
If not, then N brass locos (http://www.nbrasslocos.co.uk/fitbr.html) have a variety of buffers. Not sure if any will suit but worth a look.
Cheers

No, it's pre-owned but generally in excellent condition apart from buffer-head issue.  I do wonder if this is a common occurrence.

BH Enterprises also have a good selection of buffer. They appear to be back on the exhibition circuit now.

Is there a link or email address, please?  I can't find anything on the Forum that gives contact details.

In my current state of health I'm unlikely to attend any exhibitions for a very long time :(

At the risk of opening a can of worms you take your chance with BHE. I don't think you can order online, you have to print off an order form and send that off with a cheque.
I sent a cheque for something in August. It was never cashed and nothing was sent back. I did contact them and was dealt with very politely, but sadly not efficiently. I suppose it is possible the order never arrived, but when I talked to them on the stand at TINGS they said the chap who runs it gets behind quite often.
Hence I recommended nbrass locos.
Just my  twopeneth.
