Escallating from the "Unhappy Thread"...

eBay luck: 0 for 2.

Order one, cancelled by seller, refund ALMOST reaching card (so flipping slow to return, speed of light to leave).

Order two, lost in the realms of rubbish courier and / or Argos. Have just got back from Argos who (in the defence of person behind counter) where acrtually more helpful then I anticpated. I fully expected "computer says no" once they established I didnt have a collection code. However, order may or may not be in a "cage full of parcels"  ::)

Seller notified, and the wait continues  :(

You are just east of the Lake District. Those lakes didn't get there because it's a dry spot.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Geography fail, Malc. Actually about 55 miles south of the Southern Lakes :P
Manchester just 30 miles south of where I am

Malc

You are still on the wrong side of the Pennines though. The prevailing winds are the westerlies from the Atlantic, bringing rain and dropping it on you!

thats a relief mick !!!

Newportnobby

True - but thanks to those self same Pennines we don't get it as bad as the White Rose mob  >:D

Malc

You mean God's own country where you don't get rain, just liquid sunshine.😁

Deluded boy. At least we have the palm trees waving gently in the coastal breezes.

You mean the prevailing westerlies drop what's left on Mick, after they have finished dumping a load on us in Ireland first!  :)  (Guess what the weather is like at the moment).
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

From experience, my wife always says that whatever weather we get, Ireland gets, but more extreme.

By the way, I was always told the Seathewaite in Borrowdale was the wettest place in England.
