Apparently some clowns were letting off fireworks at midnight near Chez Bealman, according to Mrs Bealman.

I didn't hear a thing - I was catching big zzzz from 9pm!

Our local Tesco has 'em on the shelves pretty well all year round.

Christmas aisles in our local Tesco were cleared on Dec 27th and staff were busy loading them with...............

Been invited to a meal at youngest sister's on 2nd Jan so, having been exhorted by all to get tested, I tried today to get a pack of Lateral Flow Tests.
Hah! Rocking horse poo would be easier to find at pharmacies
Have ordered some for delivery but the post is all over the place at present.

Got my pack in the post yesterday. For all the conspiracy theorists on the forum, it's made in China.
Could it be the swabs are dosed with Sarin?
Could over enthusiastic use puncture my one remaining brain cell?
How did these packs arrive in the UK so quickly yet our models are held in transit somewhere?

It's all moot anyway (whatever 'moot is') as the dinner has been deferred owing to Mum not feeling well.

@Malc No covid, Malc. She's been coughing since June last year and is waiting to be called into hospital for an ECG but hospitals are not letting folks in at present

so on behalf of all those who had an 06:00 or 07:00 start at work this morning [ and over the years I've had many of those ] thank you very much you selfish 

luckily now I am retired I can sleep in, otherwise I may well have been out searching for these inconsiderate idiots, and introducing them to my size 9 steel toecapped boots .
