The wanted post for the additional 156 coach peaked my interest and went looking to see what other formations existed, I was surprised to see they paired a 156 with a 150 and also a 156 and 158 as well as the 3 car sets, (some 2 car sets were in different liveries, and also some had two parcels areas or two toilet coaches).

Curious to see if people have managed to replicate this on their layouts especially as the models come from different manufacturers?

More info on the 156s can be seen here:

Easier for 1st generation DMU. This class 101/108 pairing would be simple to replicate:

BR(W) wired up some GUV to work with class 116 DMU for a Bristol-Heathrow parcels service:

The initial two class 150 (150/0) were three cars long with the remaining 200+ being two cars. As with the class 156, there was the need for increased capacity. This resulted in a 150/2 (with gangways at driving cab ends) being split and inserted in the middle of a 150/1 (no end gangways). As Farish use standard Rapido's between their class 150 units this would be simple to replicate.

I wouldn't get on that even if it WAS the LAST train!

Yuck!
