Let's hope it's not an A380 then, wouldn't want the wings falling off and stopping you getting to TINGS !!  :smiley-laughing:

No. It's an Airbus A340-600  :D

Ah well, not a superior Boeing but at least it's fairly solid  ;)

Have a safe journey and maybe catch you at TINGS?

Mustermark

I'm a personality prototype... you can tell, can't you.

Chinahand

Thanks for all the good wishes guys.

Looking forward to meeting a lot of on-line friends at TINGS

I presume you've conveniently forgotten about the Dreamliners that have been grounded this week Paul.  ;D

Fault with the Rolls Royce engine though, not Boeing's fault  ;)

Those with GE engines are unaffected

Early cracking and corrosion of wing spars on Airbuses is well known and not limited to the A380 as reported, and that IS down to Airbus  ;) Don't panic though, the A340 is fine, can't say the same about A320s though!  ;D

Another good birthday for train stuff yesterday! ;D

No actual trains as I now have all the stock I need/want, but did still get among other (mainly car-related) things:-

British Transport Films Collection double-DVD, Volume 7 (includes Motorail and InterCity 125 films)

Traction Archive No.3 DVD - East Coast 'Deltics'

Looking Back At Deltics book - lots of lovely colour pics  8)

Plus after much time in the kitchen Clare produced this:-

Very impressed, and very tasty it is too  :P

Cheeky! ;D If we'd put the other 37 on there wouldn't have been a cake left!!  :smiley-laughing:

Thanks for the wishes, and I'll try to remember to review the DVDs when I watch them  :) All comments on the cake have been passed to the chef (for which she says thanks  ), and no, you can't all have one cos it took her ages  ;D
