Some die cast metal trucks

I got these in a large lot of British N scale stuff.  I dont know what to think, but I would like to give them an airing. I dont know the first thing about British trucks and busses, so Id be glad to learn about the prototypes, as well as the models.

Also, I didnt like to put this thread in the SWAP forum as they are rather charming, but I if anyone here has a hankering for any of these Id be glad to pass them on.

A look at the P&D Marsh and the Langley site should identify most of them. I recognize several as I've built some of them myself.

Dates for them are also on the Marsh and Langley sites but yes roughly right for periods. They are white metal btw not diecast so don't feed them to the dog

Diecast refers to the process, not the metal. Molten metal is cast in a die. Zink alloy (Mazac) is usually used. If any lead got into the alloy it would result in Mazak Rot, which would make the toys crumble.

Ok if you want to be pedantic they are not die cast but centrifugally spun and are white metal not zinc based

(note it's spelt zinc)

Ive  no idea of the make or age of the horse box but there is one passes our house twice a day from a stables round the corner.
I`ll try and get a picture of the real thig or you and see if I can gleen any facts etc about it
