Does anyone know if Farish are going to produce more of the Maroon Mk1 Pullman coaches, A rake of two is hardly inspiring  :thankyousign:

And not only, only 2 but both are Parlour Cars, 213 & 214 so no  kitchen cars either, what a rubbish Pullman service that would be ;)
Please excuse any poor spelling, I am Dyslexic, just think yourself lucky if you can actually read what I typed.

Farish probably only did the two in maroon because that's all WCRC did in overall maroon  ;)
Remember, these models represent the vehicles in post-privatisation charter train condition. As far as I'm aware, they weren't used in an all Pullman rake, they were used as premium accommodation in a rake otherwise consisting of ordinary .mk1s...

Interesting. That I did not know! Thanks!

That would certainly seem to explain it, then.  :beers:

Always best to sink the boot in first and ask questions later.

I'd guess the first two posts in the thread, unfairly criticising Farish for not producing a model of something that didn't exist... Being charitable we could put it down to naivety about what they are looking at or lack of research before posting; but there are some on the forum who have 'form' for this...

The first two posts?

I take it you lack the ability to spot a tongue in cheek post then.

;)

Well I assume you knew the background, then.

I did not, and the post from PLD  explained it.

If your post was tongue in cheek, I had no way of knowing that!

I've learned something here!  :beers:

The little  ;) is often used to signify that what was just said was said with a little lightheartedness.

Thats my understanding, others may differ and they are obviously entitled to differ

This makes we wonder if BR ever did something similar, maybe adding an extra few Parlour cars without a kitchen service, to a Pullman or other service anyone know?

There's been quite a few threads discussing the use of Pullmans. A couple of the most recent examples below:

Interpreting the intent is much harder in the written word than verbal...

Your post could be easily interpreted as supporting a post digging at Farish or as a put-down to the author of that post.

The OP fits a recent pattern of questions asked in the form "why hasn't manufacturer X done whatever" when a little research would have shown that what they're questioning the lack of never existed...
Recent example here bemoaning the lack of additional coaches for Blue Pullmans and how many times have Farish been criticised for the absence of Mk1 Pullman Brakes??

As I said above, it's more likely to be naivety about what posters are looking at or lack of research before posting rather than any mallintent towards the manufacturers...

I thought the idea of the forum was to ask all the knowledgeable people out there for answers,  that would perhaps take hours of internet searching.
If I have offended you then I apologise, but I will still continue to ask questions as and when I have done searches and not found the answers to my questions.
