Olivia Newton-John has sadly died. A wonderful singer who came across as a very nice lady in the few interviews I have seen, (and a lady I was secretly a little bit in love with in my younger days).

"The entertainer, whose career spanned more than five decades, devoted much of her time and celebrity to charities after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992."....."Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer". (RTE News)

RIP
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

You and every other bloke of our vintage. RIP Olivia. Rock it up in Xanadu.

Yes, two Aussie music icons gone in a week. Olivia Newton John and Judith Durham. The latter is getting a state funeral in Victoria.
Vision over visibility. Bono, U2.

...and me. She was the only pin-up I ever had on my wall in my yoof.

She was born a month after me, in the same city, Cambridge. Just think how our lives might have been different if we had lived next door. Sigh... She did go a bit weird and new-agey in her later years, but each to his/her own. She was a lovely lady. RIP.

Cheers,

Chris

What a lovely Dame!
...and she leaves an enduring legacy in health, environment etc.

Very sad to see her go.
