Hello NGF members,
Many thanks to you all for participating in this years raffle. £100 will be donated to Help 4 Heroes.
I would like to say a big thank you to Pengy for helping to organise the raffle and who will be sending out the parcels to the winners. It is a big task! I would also like to thank the rest of the NGF team for helping to contact the various companies to send us this years prizes - to which they gave generously.
If you do win, then please Private Message Tank (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=2) giving your postage details (thanks to those who have already kindly offered to pay postage costs).
Please remember that this is always hard work for us to organise, and a LOT of time has been put into this.

DataJammer**Unknown Members will be contacted by their emails that they used for payment - as they aren't the same as in the Member's List. This has added a lot of time to figure members out who didn't include it. :(
I see Nobby included a white fiver with his "Donation" then.
Thanks to you all for organising this.
If Brooksy, SwissTony and NGaugeDan would care to pm me their addresses I'll get the vouchers in the post to them as I have the Transport Models/Model Tree shop ones
Well done to all those who organised this and also to the winners. I won 2 prizes last year but none this year. However I'm pleased to have 're-donated' a prize which Dockshunter has won. I will get in touch with him to organise delivery.
Well done everyone :NGaugersRule:
WHOOP WHOOP I almost never win, but to win twice is excellent :toot:
Pm on its way.
Paul
I call dibs on the Unknown Username prizes!
 :D
well done all.
i hoped for the class 66 from wickness, but better luck next year :beers:
Well done for organising this excellent raffle, and for donating to Help for Heros.
Cheers, Timmo :NGaugeForum:
Thanks for organising this and Happy New Year to all..................................and Tank you have a PM! :claphappy:
Congratulations to all winners :claphappy: (sadly not myself :'()
Boo hoo hoo! :( :'(
No luck for the second year running! Stupid game...not playing any more! :P
Seriously, many thanks to all who set this up and donated prizes...
:veryangry2: :veryangry2: :veryangry2:
Right that's it, I'm throwing my virtual toys out of my virtual pram, not won anything again. I'm taking my ball and going home :censored: :censored:
(Said through gritted teeth) well done to those who did win.........
But in all seriousness, thanks to all those who donated prizes and to Tank and the gang for organising this draw.
I suppose I'll enter it agin next year and you never know I might actually win that blessed mug :hmmm: :hmmm:
Regards
Neal.
YES !!!! Finally i've won something in a competition ! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
The last time i won anything in a competition i was 11 years old !
A BIG thank you to all involved :admiration: :admiration: :admiration: - you've given me a ray of hope for the new year !
Mike
Wow........ :o.......... :o
I have never won anything in a raffle in my life so to win two prizes is quite a shock........
2012 was a devastating year for me,being unwell for long periods of it then losing my Mum who passed away in October,so to start the new year on such a positive note is fantastic.....
The PD Marsh voucher will be very handy for all those small detail parts that help to finish off a layout......thank you very much.
Would it be possible to draw another name for the engine shed as i feel that one prize is enough and would like someone else to have a chance of winning something, plus i already have one of these kits to build at some point.
Once again a big :thankyousign: must go out to everybody who has organized this years raffle.
Also to everyone who donated prizes............. :thankyousign:
And to all the wonderful forum members who make this place such a great place to visit everyday...... :thankyousign:
:beers:.............Ste.....
Congratulations to all the winners, commiserations to all the losers and a big :thankyousign: to all those who made it happen.
/SiD
Yay! :) :) :)
I have won something too and I never usually win anything in raffles!!
3D EMU prints - sound rather intriguing, and a different challenge to my usual era of modelling.
My thanks too to everyone involved in organising the raffle.
:thankyousign:
Roy
Just to clarify that I am distributing the following prizes:
B1 LNER Green (ND-120H)

:claphappy:
Yay! I won something for a change. Thank you to the organisers and those who donated prizes. Commiserations to those who didn't win but try again next time, it's all for a good cause.

It appears that while I didn't win on the EuroMillions raffle, I have won a Class 66 :-)
Thank you very much to all those who have organised the raffle, donated prizes, and also ALL THE MEMBERS WHO PURCHASED TICKETS .... It is good to have raised hopefully a large amount for worthy causes as H4H and also our wonderful community forum.
I can only echo what others have said in that I have not won anything in a raffle before and after the year I have had I am chuffed to bits to start the new year with a positive.
Happy New Year to you all!
Regards, Lloydy
I didn't get a raffle prize but I've hugely enjoyed my first year on the Forum.
Thanks to the great team who keep things/us under control :D and to all the folk who have helped advised or simply given me a good laugh in 2012.
As Mr Grace said, 'You've all done very well!'
Dave G
To those who have contacted me do far I'm sorting your prizes out. I'm waiting for others to respond before contacting some of the companies with addresses for vouchers.
Also, I'm back to work today so I won't be on here quite so often.
Yay I won one :thankyousign:
Have messaged Tank too.
Its great to win something and since it is out of my current era has inspired a small inglenook siding layout, the wagons and a few more will be key to the design.
Thank you to all involved, and for those who didnt win, good luck this year
Well blow me down with a feather. That's the first time I've ever won anything in a raffle after over 60 years of trying. :thankyousign:
2013 is definitely off to a great start. :claphappy:
Many thanks to all the organisers for arranging this and to the sponsors for supporting it. :beers:
Congratulations to all the other winners and commiserations to those who weren't lucky this year. :sorrysign:
A great start to the New Year :NGF:
I hope my luck continues. Many thanks to all who work so hard for this forum. Have PM'd Pengy. :pmsign: :thankyousign:
Oh wow... I kinda cleaned up! Rest assured they have found a good home. Thank you to Tank, Pengy and the entire team for organising the raffle. Having been involved in similar undertakings in the past myself, I do indeed believe you when you say it is a big job. A total credit to you all.
In fact, this forum is a credit to you all. It is by far and away the best railway forum on the net.
What a great start to the New Year! Now all I need is to see Clarkey and the boys clean up the Poms when I'm over there watching the Ashes in August! :D Just kidding....
Once again, thank you. You have a huge fan here in Oz.
George
Wahee, I'm a winner again! :claphappy:
Although I was happy with my ngf mug last year, I think I've done better this year.
Thanks to those involved in the organisation and I can't wait for next year's now.
:NGF:
Right that's it Tank, about time to lock this thread now :hmmm: :hmmm:
All these people bragging about their wins is really grating on me now. It's so unfair I never win anything, :'( :'( it's about time I was allowed to win something :headbutt: :headbutt:
Otherwise I'm just not going to say anything else on this Forum anymore so :P :P to you all
BAH HUMBUG!!!!!
Regards
Neal.

Hi,
Received my voucher for this today :-
SwissTony
32. Transport Models (B) £10 Voucher
Looks like it has to be used in store though, so if anyones anywhere near "Transport Models" they can make a donation to the forum's running and I'll post the £10 voucher on to you once I've received a pm and the mods have confirmed say a £5 donation... does that sound fair?
If no one makes an offer, you could ring them and ask if you send a order via mail, with the voucher inside, would they accept this?
Hmmm. No sign of my PD Marsh voucher yet.
Received my prize of a Kato starter set today. Up and running in no time.
Thanks to TrainTrax for donating the prize. I am sure I will be adding more track in time. ;)
:thankyousign:

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd certainly ask them if that's right. If not please let me know and I'll get involved.
To the PD Marsh winners - I'm trying to contact the owner, but he hasn't replied to my email. I've just sent another one.
I recieved a courteous e-mail from Paul Andrews at PD Marsh today inviting me to order by e-mail.
Tank, thanks again fro your good work.
Well done to all the winners and a big thanks to those who organised it.
I didn't enter this year as Christmas was very tight financially but hopefully I can next year.
Its a shame about the PayPal issue, any news on that or are they strictly anti-charity?
I seem to remember not that long ago paying for something on with PayPal and it had the option to add a donation to a charity while paying, so they can't be that anti-charity....

eBay do that.
Ah, as I pay on eBay by PayPal it must be that then... Sorry 😚

Wakey wakey NewportNobby if you want your prize
Just send it to me Al, sod him ;)
Having won three prizes in the raffle, I thought it was time for a post. Firstly, thank you again to the organisers (you know who you are)- especially Pengy for the brilliant packaging and timing (it arrived the day after I got back from New Zealand).
'It' being the package containing a Dapol LNER B1, so a big thank you to Dapol for donating such a brilliant model (but more of that anon)
Thanks to to the NGS, I greatly anticipate the forthcoming publications.
Thanks also to Trackside Signs. I haven't used my voucher as yet, but rest assured I will.
Ok... I gingerly removed the B1 from the box this arvo and gave it a short run on my Beal & Castle Eden. Beautiful! Purrs along like a charm. Of course I model BR in the 50's and 60's, and was wondering what I was going to put behind it, when I remembered I had some very early Farish teak coaches! Here's the result:
1) Crossing Troutbeck Bridge
[smg id=3440 type=preview align=center width=400]
2) Passing the timberyard at Castle Eden
[smg id=3443 type=preview align=center width=400]
3) Approaching Troutbeck
[smg id=3444 type=preview align=center width=400]
4) Crossing the bridge over Troutbeck
[smg id=3447 type=preview align=center width=400]
5) And on into the tunnel under Low Knott
[smg id=3448 type=preview align=center width=400]
Thanks again, everyone from a very happy ex-pat!
George
Thanks George! Wonderful to see your prize in use.
That B1 looks just like a model my dad had in 00, and I'd certainly choose it if I were to model steam.
Actually I've been wondering how to fit the B1 into my scheme of things, but, as is often said on this forum, "it's my layout and I'll run what I want." It's such lovely model and a great runner that it is most definitely staying! But they say there's a prototype for everything.... here's a poster on the wall of my garage above the layout, obviously advertising Hornby Railways.
It shows an apple green Flying Scotsman hauling blue & grey stock through what appears to be Copenhagen Fields out of Kings Cross. Judging by the colour of the coaches and the smoke rising from the chimney in the background, I'd guess the date to be the late 70's - early 80's. Maybe there are forum members out there with details?
The second photo shows the poster in context on the garage wall. The one of the loco at bottom right has "Please don't let me go" painted on the boiler door!
[smg id=3468 type=preview align=center width=400]
[smg id=3469 type=preview align=center width=400]
I would say that the photo of Flying Scotsman was taken in the 70's as i have a DVD with Scotsman in the 70's
in the same condition I.E double tender and no smoke deflectors
but i stand to be corrected :uneasy:
regarding the picture bottom right with "Do not let me go" and a sad face, it is one of my favorite pictures at the end of mainline steam
IIRC it is one of Rose Grove's 8F's i would love to replicate this on my 8F but i can't write that small :'(
dave
Thanks for that, Dave! What a great idea! I love cameos and 'quirks' on model railways, and that would be a great talking point! I agree that painting it on might be a bit hard, but in these days of computers and 3D printing, etc., I'm sure there would be some high-tech way of recreating it...hint hint to technoforum members....
No good asking me how though... I'm so uncool I don't know what IIRC means!! ???
Thanks, George

As far as I am concerned, it is just laziness on behalf of the person typing :moony:
cheers John.
Been wanting to use that moony smiley for ages, but was wondering in what context. You've beaten me to it, John! ;D
A final entry from me on this thread - my prize from the NGS arrived this afternoon - wonderful! So I'm just posting a public thank you to them for donating the prize on the forum.
Cheers! George
Sorry, one more entry... my billboards from Trackside Signs arrived this afternoon here in Oz, so a public thank you to James Barraclough for a wonderful product. Truly to be recommended. Thanks again to NGF, sponsors and everyone involved. There is one very happy railway modeller here in Oz.
Cheers, George. :beers:
:hellosign: Apologies for the very late post but we've been moving house.
I'm delighted to announce that I, too, won an item in the raffle. I actually won the item I wanted the most! A lovely Dapol Terrier in black. I can't tell you how pleased I am to have won something, let alone a loco! It doesn't fit my period or location but that doesn't bother me, I'm rather loose when it comes to these things. So pleased! Thank you!
Thanks to everyone who organised this and especially to Pengy who sorted delivery.

Thanks ever so much, and well done for selling it. :)
