Well all I know is that it had been warm and sunny all day, then it got like that, but half an hour later it was warm and sunny again!

You must have upset the God of Photography somehow :worried:

When my grandparents retired they moved to Whitby (and are buried there), and my Dad retained a love of the place to the end of his life. In my yoof we visited the town most years and my abiding memory is that the word 'summer' does not apply there. If you can cope with that, it's a great place to visit.

Cheers,

Chris

Probably the reason why Dracula/Nosferatu had his UK residence there ?

Yeah - if his blood ran cold he just went out and got fresh supplies :uneasy:

Of course Whitby is in the North Riding of Yorkshire and they have liquid sunshine there.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

No liquid sunshine in the Lake District yesterday!

Burnt the top of me head again, didn't I

Enjoying that fresh air?

You know what they say George? "if you want to look a pratt, wear a silly hat" It does stop cranial sunburn though.

Unfortunately I left it in Oz. Thought I wouldn't need it!

Windermere and Kendal have golf shops. Drop in and shout yourself a Ping or Callaway, or a local branded souvenir cap from a shop in town. Otherwise it's "No cap, No beer".
Having had another couple of nasties cut out this year, I know what I'm talking about.
Hope you're both enjoying the holiday. (Looks like you are)  :)

Sadly another all too 'Brief Encounter' with George and Anne at Carnforth today for a spot of tiffin and a look round the Centre.
Thanks for breaking your journey south to meet up, and I hope the rest of your visit goes OK..........

Sounds like a great place in this lovely weather.
