Train Waiting

Thank you for that phabulous photograph, George.

If I might be permitted a brief comparative cultural observation, the demographic profile of the bowlers appears rather different to that one would expect to see here, between the Forth and the Tweed.  My tentative working hypothesis is the apres-bowling consumption of lots 'n' lots of lovely 'VB' is conducive to the gift of eternal youth.

With all good wishes

John

The Table-Top Railway is an attempt to create, in British 'N' gauge,  a 'semi-scenic' railway in the old-fashioned style, reminiscent of the layouts of the 1930s to the 1950s.

Sorry Ed but it is now the generic term Batter, not that I will change and continue to still use the term batsman.

The only batter I know is that what fish comes covered in!  ;)

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

It's bad enough for one who wields the willow to share his job title with a coating for fish, but spare a thought for one who sews, who is now a sewer. Too easily confused with sewer for my liking.
And a person who regularly posts on You Tube is called a You Tuber, as if they are being accused of being a potato, although that's probably reasonable in some cases.

Totally agree. Since when did a female actor not be an actress.
Ergo - a female batter is a batress.
Take that all you woke people :P

I remember my first barefoot bowls was the company 2004 Christmas Party down at Erskineville Bowling Club.

Still popular there apparently.

Chez Bealman: ground zero.

Bit of a blast as Bealman went home the other night. Didn't hear the plane go over!  :smiley-laughing:

Deliberate. An attempt to get the excitement across in the photo.  ;)

Forget about building a layout. Piece of cake compared to putting this sucker together. The plastic parts were tight fits, needing a hammer to get them together, holes for screws were not there, so drill required, and so on.

Five hours all up.

Christmas present for GrandBealette2. Bah humbug!  ;D

You shouldn't have bothered assembling it George. If you gave her the kit she probably would have built it in an hour!  :D
