My internet connection died about 10pm Sunday, tried all the usual things, connections and rebooted router etc, no joy, so had an early (ish) night.
Had to go out yesterdy morning so didn't report until about 2pm, engineer appointment booked for betwen 12 & 4pm. At 11am engineer knocked on the doorto inform me it was a network fault as I was not the only one in the block with a failure, however network engineers should arrive within the hour; they did, now sorted.
38 hours with no internet, seemed like a lifetime, no forums, no browsing Ebay nor Amazon. Had to resort to jigsaw puzzles, Scrabble, patience etc.
You need a smart phone for such eventualities!
Still, think of the money you saved.

Hi
Last time ours went it took a week before it was sorted out.
Cheers
Paul
I'd feel lost without it now but however did we manage 40 years or so ago?
Sounds like you need one of these (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1149) as a backup.
A bit slow, mind, and the cooing might keep you awake.

I understand people gathered around the piano for a sing-song and a bit of a knees-up, at least until the television set warmed up.

Why do you think there was a baby boom? ;)
I'd have just headed off down the club :beers:
Oooh, an actual club, how fancy. In our day we had to make do with beating the living daylight out of each other using bits of broken tree.
Still happens around here sometimes :uneasy:
