This thread has gone a bit quiet so I thought it might be fun to have our own version of Desert Island Discs on here.

What are your 8 favourite records ?

My list is :

1. "Wooly Bully" by Sam the Sham and the Pharoes
2. "L'il Ol Wine Drinker Me" by Dean Martin
3. "He'll Have to Go" by Jim Reeves
4. "Alison" by Elvis Costello
5. "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye
6. "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" - my favourite hymn from school assembly
7. "Louie Louie" by the Kingsmen
8. "Waterloo Sunset" by the Kinks

This sounds like a bit of fun Joe but getting it down to 8 is very difficult.
In fact, getting it down to less than 100 is nigh impossible so I've gone for 12 (and in no particular order) :

Northern Skies by I am Kloot
Beautiful War by Kings of Leon
Mykonos by The Fleet Foxes
White Bird by It's a Beautiful Day
On the Boards by Taste
Red Eyes by The War on Drugs
Love Song by Brinsley Schwarz
Oil Rigs at Night by The Delines
Apocalypse by Cigarettes After Sex
Texas Sun by Khruangbin
Midnight in Harlem by Tedeschi Trucks Band
Koop Island Blues by Koop

I listen to a LOT of music so I could choose literally hundreds of favourites but if I was stuck on a desert island I don't think I'd get bored with the ones I've chosen.

I'll get round to fixing it drekkly me 'ansome.

Listening to your choices will keep me busy for a while tomorrow.

Thanks very much  :)

I've just listened to your selection.
Quite an interesting bunch if I may say so.
The only one I don't like is number 6 I'm afraid (I have never taken to that hymn) and maybe I prefer Otis Redding's version of Louie Louie but then that's down to personal choice.
Thanks fr suggesting this idea - hopefully a few others will chip in with selections.
Cheers
Martin

If you know someone who's depressed, please resolve never to ask them why. Depression isn't a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather.Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they're going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It's hard to be a friend to someone who's depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest, and best things you will ever do."
