Got myself a Brush type 4 yesterday. I had a nice day out at Bourton on the Water. I didn't know there was a model shop there but there is. It is well stocked and prices are reasonable. This loco cost £100 which is cheaper than a certain shop in Liverpool and £2.75 more than a shop in Sheffield. So a nice day out and an unexpected new loco at a good price. Days don't get much better than that.

It will need to have detail bits added to one end and some weathering of course.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

If it is the shop I'm thinking of, it has some nice layouts as well.

Thanks for the info. Luckily for me I my eyesight isn't really good enough to easily read the number!   I may well do some number changes over the winter so the allocation guide is really useful.

My latest acquisition:

A DCC supplies category B Dapol A3; at less than £55 it seemed rude not to buy it! Other than it is covered in oil and the accessory bag is missing, it is in good condition and runs well. This nicely fits in with another mid term project of mine to model Humourist in mid/late 1930's guise complete with double chimney and round dome. I've already got a spare Dapol GNR tender body to get everything as correct as the scale allows. I'll need to repaint this one in apple green and I hope I'm up to the challenge of matching my existing Dapol LNER liveried A3s...
