Does anyone say thank you any more? In the last six months we've bought wedding presents for the children of friends. We don't see the receipients as one pair live in the UK and another a few hundred miles away.

I was brought up to write thank you letters, since no one really writes letters,  an email would have been fine.

I do know that both couples received their gifts but their has been no acknowledgement whatsoever.

I don't think I'll bother in future.

Don't get me started on my nephew, Veronica.
Having sent him birthday presents for the last 2 years and getting no acknowledgment whatsoever, I'm quite looking forward to his face when there's no Christmas or birthday present this year from me, and I'll be happy to explain why in front of his parents

There's actually no excuse for not saying thank you, there are many ways to communicate, email, text, phone call, a letter or card even Facebook!
