Title: New Years Eve
Post by: Newportnobby on December 31, 2011, 04:38:51 PM
Just to wish everyone a great evening (whatever you intend doing), and at the risk of being thought of as a BOF, please do everything in moderation as we want you back healthy and happy in 2012, not least to get the results of the great raffle!

Have a fantastic evening and be safe :thumbsup: :wave:

It'll be a quiet one for me this year.... :sleep:

But i'll be up bright and early waiting to see what i've won in the raffle...It'll be like Christmas day all over again ! Don't know what i'm gonna do with all those steamers....  :smiley-laughing:

Happy New year everyone, let's hope it's better than the last one !  :smiley-laughing: :wave: :thumbsup: :beers: :beers:

I think the missus is going to her friends house where they'll be watching the Russian new year show on tv. The show is a bit like the variety shows you used to get on tv here back in the 1950s.
The boy went out this morning to who knows where and I'm not expecting he'll be back, so it looks like I'll be Macaulay Culkin.  :thumbsup:
Might have one beer, but I have to be very careful as beers nearly always bring on a migrane these days.

I've managed to save a bottle of Baileys, so i'll have a pint as well....  ;D

Someone kindly gave me a stinking cold for the new year so I don't think anyone will be too pleased if I go passing it around tonight. I shall retire to bed with a microwaved cat(*) and a whisky or similar.

Alan
(*) panic not - the wife has a bagpuss microwaveable warmer thing. It's slightly disturbing watching bagpuss going round and round in the microwave though.

Just got in from the garage, been tinkering with the layout since half nine this morning.
So now I've put the "Guns of Navarone" on, again!, and poured myself a Rum (Jamaca Rum) and Coke.
Happy new year to one and all,

Regards
Mark

Hi Gang;

Will be a quiet one here too.....can't get a babysitter and a normal Sunday full of stuff is planned tomorrow.

Probably watch Chewin the Fat, Still Game & Only an Excuse on BBC Scotland to remind me of the good times.
With a cheeky red wine too...of course.

HNY to you all, wherever you may be!!!

Later;

It's a good one so far ...

Saw the guest 4MT @ SVR (very nice !), picked up a few bits in Ian Allen, went back after a nice lunch for a bunch of SubTerrain stuff (and a big  :thumbsup: to them - I wanted a pack they didn't have so they gave me a discount on the seperates down to the pack price - in the words of Arnie, "I'll be back!"), SWMBO got a pair of river bridges @ 50% off in ModelZone, and to round off the day we saw Earlstoke Manor pulling back to Kidderminster as we drove home  ;D  4 years of driving under that bridge & we finally see something  :smiley-laughing:

And we're out to a village NYE party in a few hours as well  :beers:

So here's wishing you all a Happy New Year & lots of modelling in 2012

Have just spent the last hour building the baseboard for Lyne End  :thumbsup:
Just got to find my Countersink so the screws  are flush with the top.
Built on the dining room table whilst the rest of the family were watching Jonathan Ross and 100 greatest toys.

Happy New Year everyone. I'm at the beach in North Carolina. The weather is clear and warm (65F) and the sunset over the Bogue Sound was beautiful. Currently drinking piña coladas waiting for the fireworks to start that will go on, on and off, all evening until after midnight.

Here's to happiness and great modelling in 2012.

Another quiet one here with the family, although we did have a stunning display of fireworks from a house close by (I doubt if more than a handful of people saw it!)

What will the new year bring?? Well we shall see but for sure we will not be living and working in this village  :( :wave: as contract ends in Sept.

Hope 2012 is a great year for all

;D
