Great day! Thanks to Nick R for organising.

I shall post a couple of my lowly pics tomorrow, though brother Jim and I are already pictured amongst those already posted. We had arrived early and didn't know we were on the same train ride as other members, some of whom we met later.

Fawley Hill is only open to invitees five times a year according to one of the guides/volunteers I spoke to, though its simple to get an invite - just go to the website and ask for entry, or email them. Numbers limited to 500 apparently, with today's tally being somewhere around 400 I was told.

Well worth the visit, the exhibits being numerous and varied, even eclectic, with some superb models in many scales and gauges. And for wildlife lovers there are Red Kites circling overhead, Alpacas amongst the trees, Peacocks calling, ducks and geese fleeing from the ever-passing train load of humans, and occasional deer flitting from pasture to woodland.

not to mention Meerkats, wallabies & Llamas..
Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
