Just been weathering/spraying my track with railmatch grime, pretty pleased with how it looks. Have had to vacate the loft room for tonight while the fumes go away. Then its the dreaded of all jobs, ballasting, but I am looking forward to it.

Saved space in the fiddle yard in the future by rationalising my Hattons pre-orders.

Class 37/4 Loch Long. Saw one in a box at Warley. Looked like a cross between a Lego toy and a Tonka toy. Too much yellow and dog logo daft CANCELLED.

3MT in green. Don't think it will happen. Really want a proper Prairie. CANCELLED.

Class 47 Greyfriars Bobby. Would it really appear in the FOD?  No. CANCELLED.

That's cut the Pre-Orders down to a green 57xx, two 64xxs, a Class 31, and a 108 DMU in green. Oh and a 14xx with Autocoach if it ever happens.

Now that's made some future space.

From the pics i've seen the New-Tooled Farish 37/4 and 37/5 was only on show in unpainted grey?

Returned from Barwell to-day a 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone B&O livery , returned due to wheel wobble on front engine , any way invoice states '' running tollerances satisfactory '' , well once running on the layout the locos perfomance is no better - it even throws itself off at speed , now my track must be layed twice in one place  as the engine's a Mallet !!!
there is no wobble on the rear engine .

I think the staff at Bachmann UK should go to see their local optician , as for new purchaces it will be Kato ,
and that's what i've been doing on my layout to-day .

I thought so too. But one of the stands had a fully painted Class 37 in blue with full yellow front and cab sides, with large BR logo and white dog emblem. It was in a new Farish box in a glass fronted case like a shop counter. It was removed when I took too much interest in it.

Ah, at a guess it was on the TMC stand and would be of their limited 37/0 37027 http://www.themodelcentre.co.uk/371-466zwe/prod_1717.html

That's the johnnie. But it wasn't weathered. The yellow and white were absolutely glaring.

Thanks EP , just e.mailed Bachmann after all the shop is only the middle man - he wont give a toss if i started buying only Kato , but Backy will - so its up to them to sort quality control out in China.
