Good for you @Trainfish and congratulations - does that mean more N gauge?  ???
David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.
If a friend seems distant, catch up with them.

Offered a new job today and I start on Wednesday. Got an instant pay rise of £2k too when I said I had another offer elsewhere. Finally passed the £40k salary target  :D

Great stuff!

Congrats and don't work too hard, else I won't be able to finally visit one day and run some traction in proper colours around your layout  ;D

Erm yes, probably although I really should get some more track down first.

You're always welcome Adam but I'm not so sure about those "proper colours". Mind you, there's not much blue/grey which I don't have so maybe you can open my eyes and my wallet to model another different era too

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

It's a lot quicker to get to Bath and I get to travel on a train for 11 minutes. 14 to get back for some reason though.

Calm down Adam, I never said convert, you know I'll never be cured of the blue/grey era. You're always welcome. If you want to run something on a decent loop (about 12m round) you may need to be quick as the Kato track will need to be lifted once I start proper tracklaying. I reckon that going on past progress you only have about 2 years to get here

Oops, I seem to have just bought another blue class 40 to add to the 3 which I already have

I just had one of those annoying recorded calls about "the accident I had recently". Started with the usual silence at the other end when I answered. Then a recorded "Hi my name's Isabelle calling about the accident you had recently, is that right?" Now, I'm not 100% happy with life right now, probably about 80%, so I swore and told her, knowing she's a recording to ":censored: (changed by forum) off". The recorded response was, "Ok, sorry about that, we'll take your name off our lists, hope you have a great day". I was expecting a "Sorry, I didn't understanjd that" response but it seems the auto response machine has been trained quite well

daffy

Good result, if they actually take you off their list.

Never had such a call myself, but I guess I might answer with:

"Blimey! :o. That was quick. I've only just put my trousers in the washing machine!"

:D
