So that's where all the bog rolls have gone...

The Leprechorns have them..

While the virus thing is real here too at the moment, things aren't yet totally critical in Tasmania. Caught the bus into town yesterday for a meal and drink at one of my favourite haunts here.

Off the seafront, basic, but brilliant beer at half the price compared to the waterfront!

And no, that's not my scooter.  ;)

Hi George,

Might have said before on another thread but try Mercury Cider!! Great stuff.

Saved my life when travelling Oz 20 years ago when I couldn't find a 'Shenanigans' pub that did Strongbow.

God bless Tasmania  :claphappy:

Have a great trip.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Looks like you got there just in time: Tasmania is going into quarantine to prevent mainland Australians from spreading the virus

Yes, been watching it on telly this morning. I assume they'll happily let us leave on Saturday.

Even if NSW pulls the same strategy, it shouldn't be a problem as the only place we're going is home.

Amazing how fast things change... I held off a work trip to northern Italy in February as I'd be coming from the home of the Diamond Princess plague ship.

Meanwhile a colleague was planning to visit Japan from India around now and we worked out that had he gone ahead with the trip, he would have potentially have 3 separate bouts of 14 days quarantine/self-isolation.

Based on experiences in Europe that sounds like a very naive assumption, I'd check that...

Just went to the little hobby shop in Launceston for my traditional Tasmanian purchase.

Shop still there, but empty.  :(

During a pleasant evening walk around the Launceston country club before hopefully making it back to his own bus stop, Bealman was happy to find his new friends c-virus free, even though they seemed wary of him  :worried:

In April 2024 I will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by doing at least 100 press-ups every day.  Feel free to click on the picture to go to the donations page if you would like to help me to reach my target.

To follow the construction of my layout "Longcroft" from day 1, you'll have to catch the fish below first by clicking on it which isn't difficult right now as it's frozen!

Doesn't like cats and hangs out at bus stops late in the evening in the company of feral shopping trolleys.  :hmmm:

Things are grim.
