I really rate Little Walter and have a few tracks on various Blues compilation albums

When Mrs B is at work I'm listening to myself desperately trying to get a handle on Bowie's Ziggy Stardust 'cos I opened me gob one night at the club and said I'd do it at the monthly performance night.

I can sing it alright but getting Ronson's guitar sound is proving difficult.

Was that 'open mouth before engaging brain' or the effects of a few Castlemaines?   :beers: :smiley-laughing:

Remember, Bowie modelled his voice on Anthony Newley's.

Best regards,

Joe
P.S. Don't forget to post your performance on here !

I'll spare the forum, I think,  Joe.

IMO) the greatest rock band Britain  ever produced, "Ten Years After" of course led by a total egomaniac Alvin Lee but he is also one of the worlds best guitar players.

I was browsing in HMV yesterday and some superb R & B stuff was playing on the music system (by R & B I mean proper Rhythm and Blues played by folks who know how to play their instruments - not the  :poop: they call R & B these days )
It turned out to be a band I'd never heard of called "The Rides" and was their latest album entitled "Pierced Arrow" - 62 minutes of excellent blues. Here's a small taster........

Steven Stills was on the Jools Holland programme last week, sang a duet with another guy which could well have been the song featured in your video link.

Cheers John.
