Perfect Sunday listening............probably (IMHO) their best album without the orchestra. The production is sometimes a little muddy but oh, the sweet sound of that mellotron :heart2:

Funnily enough, last night I was watching a compilation of Top of the Pops from the 80's and BJH were on there. Their one and only appearance.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I'm listening to the Commisar trying to get me to ring my cousin in Western Australia, although it's only 8:30 am there and it's 11:20 pm here. A gin and tonic, a glass of red, a small glass of pudding wine and a glass of port might be the explanation.

Just off to see Ferocious Dog now. Starts at 2.30pm in Nottingham. I'll drive overnight and camp in the van in the city centre. They are mainly a folk -rock -punk band, but going to have a whole string orchestra on stage for a couple of numbers, plus loads of guest artistes. Should be great!

Just googled them. Look like my kind of band. Been a Levellers, Cropdusters type fan for many years.

I'll look out for dates. Have a great time.

Cheers weave  :beers:

@weave Brilliant gig tonight. They did everything. Had loads of guests on, a rapper, celtic dancers, and half a string orchestra for the final numbers. Also Gaz Brookfield and Mad Dog Macrae were on tonight.

Yes they are well associated with the Levellers, they all know each other ;)

2000 crowd at rock city tonight, I think they are the first unsigned band to sell out this venue.

50+mph wind, lashing rain, and it's so  :censored: dark I can hardly see to type :worried:

Dark ??   Have you run out of shillings for the meter again ?
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

Newportnobby

Yeah - the damned meter wouldn't accept my thrupenny bits, sixpences or florins either ::) :D

I think you may need a Facebook account to see it. Absolutely packed venue 2000 in there, sold out. Best gig ever, still buzzing.

Something a bit more mellow and in an interesting scale (double harmonic)
