Currently sitting in the bar on Portsmouth to St Malo ferry, off to Le Mans for the weekend...

...Jack & coke all the way!

Ahh, it's a life on the ocean waves for me!

Sometimes you bite the dog...

...sometimes the dog bites you!

I can explain it to you...

Ahoy! Back on dry land, tent pitched just outside Le Mans. (Some degree of cussing was involved in the process)

Coffee in hand.

Shortly off to hypermarché for provisions.

Hi emjaybee,

Have a few cidres bouché doux for me while you're there (some of the brut can be a bit cardboardy).

Tents. Amazing things. I don't know how any soldiers in the olden days could be bothered to fight a war in the morning after spending the evening and half the night trying to put one of those blimmin' things up  :D.

Hope you're having a great time. Off topic but the Giants won (again)  :claphappy: so imbibing as I write .

Be careful on the way home though. A mate of mine went to Le Mans years ago and the racing driver in him took over on the way home. The French Police are on to this trend so after a 500 Euros cash on the spot fine, his ferry trip home was not so enjoyable.

Just speeding, no imbibing.

Have fun.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Just to wrap this thread up...

Back in Blighty as of late last night.

Haaabsolutely kackered. Come to the conclusion that as I am now over 50, tents should not be allowed, only 4*+ accomodation. Excellent weekend though, some entertaining racing, although the use of safety cars absolutely screwed the GTE-Pro class by seperating 1st and 2nd places from the Corvette in 3rd, which set the Corvette back by about 1min40s from an original gap of 6 seconds. At that standard of racing, unsurmountable.

On a train related theme, the Corvette garage had a US loco horn rig which from time to time they connected to a compressor and scared the pants off of unsuspecting people.

It's a helluva lot easier taking pics of N gauge stuff! Sorry for the poor quality snaps.

No, the pics are great! Thanks for posting!

As for that tent business, Bealman gave that away in his twenties. Didn't rub off on one of the Bealettes though - most weekends out from Darwin into some remote crocodile infested outback location! (Shudder)  :beers:
