am looking to buy a new farish 08 shunter. am just wondering how many of the 6 wheels are powered...all of them?
would be a help if anyone knows this.

Which version of the 08 are you purchasing ?
Mine is BR green with was stripes.
maybe the railfreight one, wait till hattons get them instock.
i`m building a little shunting layout, so one would be handy, thou with the short wheelbase and the cheap points i used i`m worried about it stalling over the "dead section" in the points.
ews 66 mite be better...

If you get one that picks up off all wheels (test this there is a common fault in them as shipped) then they seem pretty good but are going to sulk a bit on Peco set-track type points. Should be fine on other vendors or Electrofrog though.
