A long time ago when I was 20, I used to get stopped all the time on my Triumph Boneville, I got stopped 3 times one night trying to get home, not speeding or anything. Mind it might have been the fact that I was and still am 5' nothing and at that time looked about 12 which didn't help.

Right time for a rant....(yes another one)

On the weekend I had to get a new pair of jeans, simple I thought. Once I had found a shop, where the actual assistants had their trousers around their waste, and not around their knees  ???.

Then one, were the assistants not only had their pants at a normal height, but also has a semi sensible haircut (I mean as a kid if our mum's cut our hair like some of the styles on display, we would have got beaten to death on the streets for looking odd )

Anyway one inside the store the Ninja warrior cunningly disguised as a assistant, must have lowered himself from the ceiling or something, as he just appeared (not even with a puff of smoke, must be cut backs). Getting a little too close for comfort he then asked what I wanted.

So I politely told him, to which he asked me if I wanted "hipsters" or "baggies" and various other things I had not idea about what he was on about. So I repeated in simple terms what I wanted and that I needed an "unfinished leg", to which he remarked "how can we sell jeans if the legs aren't finished"

So keeping my anger at bay, I conceded and said in that case could I have a 34" inside leg, "Lush" was his remark as he toddled off to get them, when he returned with the jeans they had a 29" inside leg (I am not a hobbit, im only 6'7")  :veryangry:

Anyway he told me it was a trendy look, as being a Fashion leader I bought them, as mother always says "its better to be a leader than a follower". So it anyone see's me out and about with my new jeans on and my M&S wangers on prominent display I AM A FASHION GOD  :-[ :-[

Though I think if they were any shorter you could tell me religion,  :o

Just tell people your shoes have had an argument with your jeans, Paul ;D

Malc

You could always sew some tartan around the bottom and start a Bay City Rollers revival.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

You'll never get 'Shang-a-lang' out of your head now >:D

 :D

What's wrong with £10.00 Jeans from Tesco? On a good day I have found £5.00 ones?!

In the year and a bit I have had my house I have spilt enough corrosive liquids on them to know any more money is wasted....(see black jeans with orange bleach marks for further details).

But that would have to be in the "vintage flared" style, instead of their presently(?) Narrow style. And then we would have to subject him to moderation, or worse.

Sounds to me like certain parts of Paul's body are subject to moderation right now :worried:
