Have to be a complete rake wouldn't it to get most of us in!!
Then again a NGF HST rake would be something different to see!!
Mechanical issues can be solved with a hammer and electrical problems can be solved with a screw driver. Beyond that it's verbal abuse which makes trains work!!

Here's the entry from the Bournemouth show, afraid I only got the chance to get one video, when I tried on the group layout I appear to have developed a camera problem, it worked fine for this vid and for two other vids I shot earlier(see another post) The layout is Ins & Outs, recently purchased by one of our group members, Stuart Farmer. Two intertwined figure 8s.

Great idea.
How about 3D models of ourselves  :D

Don't know if you have it where you are but in France we now have "tailors" where you can buy "made to measure suits" where they don't measure you with a tape measure but scan you in a thing like a shower cubical.

You can then see the scanned 3D image of yourself on a computer screen.

I never realised I looked so much like the Fat Controller !

Best regards,

Joe

Friends, if there is the vaguest chance of my being able to participate I have now got some track laid on my new layout!

Not very picturesque but serviceable?

Regards, Peter.
Each can do but little, BUT if each did that little, ALL would be done!

Life is like a new sewer pipe, what you get out of it depends on what you put into it!

A day without laughter is a day wasted!

Found the problem with my later videos from Bournemouth show, I changed memory card after the first coach tour one, all subsequent on second card are duff.

Oh no, how annoying.  I accidently wiped my Honeymoon photo's a few years back.  :(

Thanks Tank my mate Graeme finally gave me a lesson in how to link to Utube last night and I will try and put a few more videos on here from time to time otherwise I will forget even though he made it look so easy.

In the autumn of 1963 Basil Brunel (no relation to I K), one of the design team for the new Mark 2 Coach, arranged for trials of an early test bed on the steep and sharp curves of Devon/Cornwall.  It arrived attached to the morning Cornish Riviera from Paddington
[smg id=35361]

and was dropped off in Withiel where it would be based for a couple of weeks
[smg id=35362]
[smg id=35363]

Trainspotters were divided on whether the Western or the new coach was of greater interest
[smg id=35366]

Elsewhere other spotters thumbed through their Ian Allen books trying to identify the new coach
[smg id=35374]

Local dignitaries wait for the green signal before setting off on their official trip or "jolly"
[smg id=35364]

Withiel cricket team are finishing off the last match of the season and there was much discussion over tea about the new coach and the strange writing on the side.  What was a "co.uk" and why "2015"?

With many thanks to Chris in Prague both for his inspirational stories about his own layout and background detail on the Mark 2 coach.

Coach is now winding its way across the Trans-Siberian Railway towards Tokyo, luckily I now have enough layout to photograph it on :D. I'll also see if I can take it for a bit of sightseeing.

Many thanks, Anselm,, for an excellent set of photos. of a very attractive layout. Glad to be of help. Your Desert Sand D1000 is a very attractive model. If they are ever produced, again, I would be very much tempted to buy one!

You're very welcome to join this Easter's program of WR Special Steam and Diesel hauled 'through' trains.

Maybe, next summer, Cant Cove will be presentable enough to host the NGF coach?

Afternoon all.

Can I ask if the 2015 tour coach will continue in circulation for the foreseeable future or will a 2016 replacement occur?
