Haven't been into a supermarket in 22 months. If we can't get it delivered, we do without.

Now you know why.

:veryangry:

Sorry Mick, no can do. With the wife's Epilepsy prescription lowering her immune system, and her chronic respiratory condition, and the advice from her GP and Consultant to "Not get it, even with three jabs", I'm afraid we carry on.

The only consolation I can give you is that it's unlikely to be our shopping that's causing you grief.

Hopefully your wife will have received the letter my wife had this week from the NHS, as she too has a Consultant who gave her the self same care instruction due to her condition. The letter points out that she is now eligible to receive an 'at home' PCR test kit that, should she ever develop covid symptoms (or I assume get a positive LFT result), she can use herself and pass the result online to the NHS who will be back to her within 24 hours with a treatment plan. I think this will be for the soonest administration, at home, of the latest drugs to combat any Covid infection.

The test kit should arrive here today, and hopefully she will never have reason to use it.

Best wishes to you both.

My wife received one of those letters as well.

I've just had a text to book my 4th jab, so have done so for the first week of January.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Here's a wish that none of us are 'toast' before the freebie gets awarded.  :o Will there be a choice of freebie cos I don't eat bread? :hmmm:

I suspect a few jabs (or maybe pills) a year could become the norm to keep this and other Sars variants at bay for our lifetimes.

It was you, Malc, but you also gave me the perfect opportunity to use it :D

Don't worry, we'd already kinda figured you were special needs.

I can explain it to you...

...but I can't understand it for you.

Been invited to a meal at youngest sister's on 2nd Jan so, having been exhorted by all to get tested, I tried today to get a pack of Lateral Flow Tests.
Hah! Rocking horse poo would be easier to find at pharmacies ::)
Have ordered some for delivery but the post is all over the place at present.

Might be easier to skip the dinner date  ;)

already got some mindless moron letting off fireworks to celebrate the new year  :hmmm:  :censored:

daffy

Maybe it's a new initiative by the NHS, sending out individual Covid LFT kits via rocket assisted airmail to those off to celebrate. Delivery is random of course, but then so is infection so that's fine.

Happy New Year. :pint:
