I'm trying to send money to a fellow member via paypal and have been given an address beginning
paypal.me/.............
but paypal won't recognise the account.
Is it something I'm doing wrong or them? Usually I find the paypal account name is an e mail address
:confused2:
I've always done it by email address. Ask them for that.
Ah, I think you're supposed to put that link they've given you into a browser, it should then ask you to log in to make the payment?
https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-me (https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-me)
Never done it this way myself

It seems paypal.me is a business account and not a personal account. If I put the link into the browser it takes me to paypal and when I sign in and attempt payment the result is as before which is NO NYET NEIN NON etc
Spookily, I have just sent money to two paypal.me accounts today. They were both for musicians/bands doing online gigs and asking folks to donate 'ticket' money. I found that, if you open the paypal.me page and click on 'log in' at the top right-hand corner, it takes you to your normal Paypal page.
Don't know whether this answers your question or not, Mick.
Cheers,
Chris

That's exactly what I did from the link Nick posted, Chris but, once in my normal account, it wouldn't let me pay to a 'pay.me' address, insisting I needed a name, e mail address or mobile phone number or some 11 didgit number ???. I know there's nothing wrong with my paypal account as I've sent money to someone else since.
@Newportnobby (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=264) You could send it to me instead, I'll spend it for you :D ;)

Ignore @Philip. (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=6180) Mick. I will not spend it. I will save it for you and let you have it back whenever you want, as long as you give me a bit of notice ......... say, 5 years. ;)

Hi Mick,
Don't succumb to the blackmailers.
You don't need to send money to anyone.
Just tell them to publish the photo's and be d*mned
Whatever it was you did it can't be that bad :laugh3:

Have you looked in that drawer in the kitchen that has all the odds 'n' ends in?
I look on our driveway, me, either that or the bushes down the side.
Usually where I find the front door key :)

I usually look in the front door as I have been known to unlock the front door and leave the key in the lock. This usually only happens on a Saturday night after falling out of the taxi, depositing my kebab all over the road and flinging my phone along the pavement and leaving it there. The wife is used to this now and usually stays up to clear up the debris while I slope off to bed. She's a good wife
