Lots of apocalyptica at the moment, they are a four piece all playing cellos and doing most awesome covers of heavy metal classics such as 'one' from Metallica, 'Stairway to Heaven' Led Zepplin, 'Sweet child of mine', Nirvana, 'The Trooper' and 'Aces High' Iron Maiden.

My occasional dose of classical music in a torrent of metal!!!

Best wishes
Simon

I offer Nerina Pallot with "Put Your Hands Up", which has perhaps one of the most innocently joyful videos ever. Plus Bernard Butler on guitar. And you can't argue with that.

Stuttgarter Kammerorchester / Dennis Russell Davies
Haydn Symphony No.15 D major

Great stuff but I think I, still,  pref. the (to some dated) Antal Dorati version.

Just about anything from the 70's, a good smattering of the 60's, and even a few from the 80's if I'm feeling modern and up to date. Which to be honest, isn't often..
