I have a number of BR Mk 1 and BR Pullman Coaches in N gauge all are Graham Farish.

Some are fitted with bogies that have NEM pocketed couplers that are spring loaded to self-centre, the others have bogies with a fixed, smaller non-removable coupler (which I guess maybe an older design?)

Is it possible to remove the non-NEM bogies from the coaches and replace with the NEM type (then I can fit Dapol NEM couplers)? I would be happy to omit the self centering feature if required.

Many thanks

Shaun

No - the centering NEM coupling mounts are fitted to the body not the bogie.

Your best option for the non-NEM Coaches is to remove the coupling heads, turn the bogies 180 degrees which gives you a flat surface to which you can fit Dapol conversion mounts.

Thanks PLD.  I will look at the Dapol conversions.
