Mr Sprue

Did anyone ever manufacture a kit for these loco's for N Gauge ? Or even modeled one?

Not that I know of unless there is a 3D print project on the go somewhere. The chassis would also be an issue as they were shorter than the M7 that Dapol did.

Best wishes
Simon

I'm sure @thebrighton has built one of these from a modified M7.....?

Cheers,
Alan

N Brass Locos do a G6, that is very close to an O2 when it has an 0-4-4 chassis.  There are a few differences, but not so much as to notice in 'N'.  But the kit is body only, so you have to fettle the chassis....

A T1 is easier, M7 wheels are near correct, except bogie needs shortening, use the G 6 kit for cab, bunker and tanks. I've got one part done, mostly painting to bedone.

I built my O2 using the NBrass G6 kit on a heavily modified Farish chassis.

There is also a 3D print available. This link is to one in its original condition but Simon laso does the IOW version: https://www.shapeways.com/product/MALNH2UMF/b-148fs-lswr-o2-loco?optionId=146518402&li=shops . Again you'd need to rustle up a chassis.

I was looking at one of my M7's thinking there were possibilities, the chassis at least is almost there to that of an O2.

Nice work  Did that particular loco have Westinghouse braking system fitted?

To be honest I built it nearly 10 years ago and it was based on photos of number 208 but my aging memory can't remember!

Mr Sprue

I think I might be well tempted to buy an N Brass G6 kit, I wonder if they will be at the Ally Pally this year. :hmmm:

208 became W17 "Seaview" on the Isle of Wight at which time it was fitted with Westinghouse brakes but I don't think it had them prior to its cross across the Solent. Difficult to be 100%sure though.
