Coupler help

Mum bought two Arnold locos and the have buckle couplers. I matched it up with a Dapol wagon with their version and the loco coupler is a full coupler height higher the the wagon
Any suggestions as to what I can do.

At a guess I would say the locos have Microtrains couplers which look similar to the Dapol Easishunts but are mounted a lot higher.  The Dapol couplers need an NEM pocket, the Microtrains won't fit an NEM pocket (they will either be in their own coupler box, or conversion couplers fitted to the original Rapido coupler pocket).  The only way to fit the Dapol couplers to these locos will be to replace whatever coupler mounts are on the locos with Dapol NEM coupler boxes, which is easier said than done. If the Microtrains couplers are the T-shank conversion type, it should be fairly easy to remove them and refit standard Rapido couplers and springs.
