A railfreight sector 47 would look just the part gavin

The later Channel Tunnel style livery with the blue roof was a great livery, some of the locos lasted well into the 2000s. I think the only diesels it was applied to were 47s. I don't believe Farish have offered one though.

You could have a 92 as well potentially. They ran on 3rd rail.

#17
There was originally from the roof down, Executive dark grey, Railfreight flint grey and Railfreight grey on sectorisation, which was later superseded by RFD International blue and RFD International slate grey and Railfreight grey for when the Chunnel opened. The mid colour became a deeper section on the later version. I have a photo of 47200 painted as such

class 86s carried this livery

There was at least one 90 in the later livery too, and 92s, although they had much smaller bodyside logos and lettering.

I have read a few good articals on the rail frieight livery now.  Including one written by the designer of the later deeper livery.

I belive the sapper 47 exists in a later livery made by farish. Unfortunately not DCC but should be able to be converted.

Ah ha found one on eBay.  Older model, will have to research if they do any with newer tooling and dcc

Got some good info today. Went to gravesend for a model show and had a chat with the guys that run network southeast society which was insightful.
Also picked up some magazines from 1992 - 1996 and the era I am planning on modeling. Looks of great pictures and info on rolling stock etc. 30p for the magazines  :D ;D

You gained bargains with those gavin. Certainly an interesting period in terms of liveries. There are a few who know passenger. Freight, mail, liveries in the forum.
