I'd like to post pix, but it seems I can only post .pdf files on NGF.
Is there any way to post .jpg, .jpegs and the more usual photo file types please....
I tried to post some jpeg pictures yesterday and got the result that only pdf files were acceptable. When I tried an hour or so later, the jpeg pictures posted okay. ???
Did you upload to the Gallery, or try?

No, as I was trying to reply to a specific thread, rather than a gallery Tank?
I was wondering if it was because I'm a new member on NGF, and have restrictions.
This happens on the G Scale Central forum, of which I'm a long standing contributor....
OK, well you need to go into Reply [to post] and look for 'Add image to post and upload to gallery'. Click it and upload an image. The code will then appear in the post, and the picture when you hit the Post button.

Thanks Tank!
Let's see if this works then....

Success!
Might have been because I tend to reply to threads using the 'Quote' feature, rather than 'Reply'.
Anyway, thanks for your help Tank....
Glad to hear it. :)

I am trying to put a couple of pictures into the Gallery and whenever I try, I get the message "Not a valid picture file". The photo's are saved with a JPG extension. I converted one and saved it with a PDF extension, but still I get the same error message. I followed the instructions by @Tank (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=2) as above but still get the same. Am I missing something simple? :headbutt:
There is a 2 mb file size limit for uploads. Try resizing the images

May I refer the honourable gentleman to my post -
On My Workbench / Re: Kitbash a Card Kit
Further to the above and the discussion on 'Server Upgrade' topic, I have been doing some experimenting, (whilst not a 'numpty' round computers, I have not done much photo' editing - spreadsheets are my thing), I managed to resize one of the photo's and this is the result -

It seems to have worked okay, (), so, providing I can remember what to do, I will upload the other pictures of the depot tomorrow.
