Thread replies.

Every now and again,
I keep getting little black message boxes on the right hand side of my screen.
With replies to threads ive replied too.
But when I click on them their replies dating back weeks ago.

Can I turn this off?

It's a 'mod' called Enotify that is supposed to act as an instant notification.  Very strange you're getting them as outdated messages.   

I'll look into it.  Anyone else having trouble with them?

If it comes to it, I'll get rid of it.

i do not  have trouble with them being out of date, but its a shame you cant click and be taken to the post! mine just seem to fade away when the mouse is over the tab and if i move away it comes back

Is it possible to receive email notifications of threads you've started/posted in?

Yes Chris.  Go to your Profile, then Notifications and Email, and tick the boxes that you want notifications on.

It's off now.  I think it conflicts with certain browsers.  Oh well!
