what do people do to test that the frog / blades are getting power from their direct feed?

all i can think of to do is put paper / masking tape between the blades and then see if the train runs onto the point ok at low speed.

is there some other method i am not thinking of???

even if a loco runs over the point fine at low speed you can't be sure the feed is working direct to the frog / blades or if it's just the blades making good contact...

Its a fluke meter, cost about £100 ebay item 321720959323
Sure there is a much cheaper way however i use it for electricery too!

I can probably count my flukes on the fingers of one hand so am not sure a meter would be worth it. That's a loco!
