A few choice tracks from Focus - especially 'Eruption' from 'Moving Waves'

BRMan

Awesome, I love their Hocus Locus, excites me as much as the first time I heard it.  Currently I'm enjoying the cool, jazziness and brilliance of Steel Dan's The Royal Scam album, 'Don't take Me alive'!

Yes - Close to the Edge followed by yet more Jon Anderson twaddle - Tales From Topographic Oceans

Malc

I was a Yes fan at one time, but now I find Jon Anderson's voice gets on my nerves a bit. Still Close to the Edge and the Yes album are great. Starship Trooper being my favourite.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

@Malc I'm with you there, Malc. That and Yours is no disgrace are my 2 favourite tracks from Yes.

I love Yours is no disgrace as well @Newportnobby . Worth buying the albums just for those tracks.

Gentlemen, very interesting to see Yes in this thread. May I draw to your attention a new CD released by Fragile, a Yes tribute band with a twist, featuring the wonderful Claire Hamill on vocals. This CD "Golden Fragments" is highly recommended and gives a big nod to classic Yes but is very distinctive in its own right. Also featured on this CD is Clive Bayley (vocals) latterly of Mabel Greer's Toyshop, a forerunner of Yes. If you recall, the cover of Claire's first album "One House Left Standing" (1971) was shot in a disused railway yard with the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge in the background. The Fragile CD should soon be available from Claire's website https://clairehamill.co.uk/, please check it out for her recent releases and videos. Also on YouTube Music are some live performances by Fragile, for example

Cheers!

I am into this cover band from Australia, they are just a bit good, the guitarist ( Stephan ) on this one is a bit special too.

For whatever reason yesterday and today (so far) have seen copious amounts of Genesis being played (the good stuff - before all that chart ordure)
Genesis Live
Foxtrot
Nursery Crymes
Selling England by the Pound
Trick of the Tail
Wind and Wuthering
and, of course, the perennial Seconds Out

I do have others but just haven't got round to them yet :)

The best Mick is. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, love that track it has special memories for me too.

I used to have the first 5 on your list @Newportnobby. They were certainly an innovative band in the day.

@Malc If you don't have Seconds Out I really can't recommend it high enough. Some versions on that live double CD will blow you away, Malc, especially 'Supper's ready'
2 drummers as well - what's not to like. If only there was a DVD (sigh)

@Newportnobby Mick if you like live music and like Genesis these guys do a good cover "Martin Miller , The Ultimate Genesis Melody" on YouTube take a look you won't regret it.
