The creator of the soundtrack to my youth has sadly passed on. I'll always remember being the coolest kid at school (for a day) when I returned from lunch with my brand new copy of Another Music in a Different Kitchen complete with limited edition Buzcocks carrier bag.

RIP Pete Shelley indeed, the master of the perfect 3 minute pop song. Not a good year for Manchester punk and new wave what with Mark E Smith of The Fall also passing away.

In his own words 'something's gone wrong again'

Don't normally get upset by "celebrity" deaths, but this one sucks. Buzzcocks were one of the first bands I saw live back in the late 70s and I last saw them supporting the Stone Roses in 2016 where they were on fine form.

Rest in Peace Pete

I was upset by Bowie passing but somehow Pete Shelley has affected me more. I saw Buzzcocks in 1978 in the Chelmsford ABC and it remains one of my best gigs ever......RIP

Yeah, it was Bowie that got to me too, but hey, it's called life, eh.

We all end up there.
But yet another music icon gone.  :(

'Ever fallen in love' is one of my all time favourite songs and is often heard on my iPod.
Great meaning for me at the time :zippedmouth:
So long, Pete :(
