Tipping my hat

Last week Whilst updating the Northallerton thread, I mentioned in passing that I'd lost my cars for the layout. It was a really stupid thing to do, losing the cars that is. Two curry boxes of n gauge cars, buses lorries and vans, mainly Oxford, and some Tomix I believe. A few quids worth anyway. I was convinced I'd taken them to the club and put them down somewhere, never to be seen again!

Such is the nature of the good people who contribute to the  :NGaugeForum: that I had a PM from someone offering to give, yes give me some cars for the layout. And what's more he paid for postage and packing.

There is slight twist to this story. The kind person who offered me the cars pm'd me to say they were in the post. Within half an hour of reading that message I found the cars. Like magic they reappeared in my garage. I think what I had done was pick up two similar looking curry boxes with other stuff inside, and had then put them in another box at the club. When I went to get the cars only the other stuff boxes could be found, because I'd left the cars at home in the garage. I am of course completely embarrassed  :-[

Anyway, I wish to tip my hat to @GScaleBruce

Sir you are a true Gentleman, and I am eternally grateful.

The cars arrived today, and Bruce being the gent he is doesn't want me to return them. As a consequence Northallerton has a few more spaces filled in its car parks!

Thanks again Bruce.
I think this just goes to show what a great community the NGF is.

Cheers

Make sure you run extra trains for all the extra passengers from those cars!!
:)
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Yes I will agree there are a really nice bunch of guys and girls on here , well done Gscale Bruce ,   and I'm very pleased Tank showed me this Forum and put it on my IPad for me ,as I've said before I now have so many friends all over the world so I never feel alone when Im down in my railway shed .
It's a shame that there isn't a member close enough to share my layout with me more often ,although a lot of members have now visited ,and even more have said they will come sometime.
The nearest is in Aylesbury and I PMd him but got no reply so perhaps he no longer
( plays ) trains.
