Lost book

I had a book once, or at least borrowed one, that covered structure modelling. 
The section of interest was about layering card and plastic in a sandwich to make store front windows.
The pictures were monochrome.
I vaguely recall it is likely a PSL publication by someone well know.
I cannot guess the title of what I'm looking for.
I can probably do without it, but I would like to put it in my collection of other forty year old books I don't remember 

Can anyone recall what it might have been?
