You folks over there have concerns about the Osprey like they do over here in Japan? Okinawans are very quick to protest if an Osprey has one tire down 1 psi or anything. I am sure it is to protest anything about the bases if the opportunity presents itself.

Not a Chinook, but we had an Apache Longbow low down over us at about 2230 last night from Wattisham.

We used to get lots of these, plus an occasional Chinook, when the troops were in Iraq and Afghanistan, training over the marsh area nearby, but are now quite rare despite being based only about 20 miles away.

We also get a very occasional USAF Osprey playing in the area.
